My Vote Counts! against violence, for diplomacy and propaganda
My Vote Counts! The Citizens’ Initiative is against war. War is never the solution to a problem, but unfortunately sometimes unavoidable once all diplomatic options have been exhausted. We must be careful not to become aggressors ourselves, and therefore stop combat missions that are not in our interest. We choose to build as large a counterforce as possible.
My Vote Counts! The Citizens’ Initiative takes the following positions
- We stand for a strong Europe with Ukraine as a member.
- Ukraine should eventually become a member of NATO once the war with Russia is over.
- Cross-border land grabbing is unacceptable. Already in 2014, at the annexation of Crimea, there should have been appropriate intervention.
- My Vote Counts advocates influencing the Ukraine-Russia war from within, to bring an end to this war by spreading propaganda among the Russian population.
- We respect international treaties, such as the 2% norm for defence spending.
- We are in favour of an even stronger profiling of The Hague as an international city of Peace and Justice.
